Which foreign country or culture do you feel most drawn toward?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 18, 2008:
To me it would have to be Bali and Peru. Although I've never been there, people that I have enjoyed relating to from these regions, have shed a most peculiar peace about themselves whom are very much in love with a laughter that becomes me and so much want to share.

I would love to visit Peru for all the history… and beauty of the place…
I have been to Venezuela and many Caribbean Islands; what always strikes me about the culture, is the closeness of family. In places like Trinidad, your neighbors are also like family: If people come over unexpectably, food is brought from the different houses. Most of these areas are very poor. Meals are always hot meals.
The Orient always displays a close family unit; as a Masters student in counseling, we are constantly reminded about treating families of other cultures differently, as their family structure is different from America.
